Meet Lara, Founder of Naked Generation

Nearly seven years ago, a trip to Jaipur introduced me to the ancient craft of block printing and inspired what would eventually become Naked Generation.

But the story began long before that.

I've always been drawn to vintage treasures, original bohemian dresses and the pioneering import brands that emerged from the hippie trail of the 60s and 70s, bringing the colours, craftsmanship and spirit of India back to the West.

Today, we work closely with artisan partners in Jaipur to create small-batch collections that honour those traditions while reimagining them for modern women.

This dress feels like an extension of me. Earthy, soulful, free-spirited and full of warmth. I wear it during readings, slow mornings, creative days and moments where I want to feel most connected to myself. There’s something about it that feels both grounding and magical at the same time.

Just one of the most beautiful items I have collected to take with me through life. Made to last, to weather with me over the years,there for all the moments.
It was hard to choose just one item of clothing to represent the love and gratitude i have for The movement that is Naked generation.

I cant remember what life was like before Naked Generation, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't as beautiful!
